This ambro has fine clarity and tonality and the photo and case are in very good, antique condition. The photograph comes in “A Japanese Kiri Wood” case (Berg 6-138, VR, p. 460) with the glass plate measuring 2 1/2 X 3 1/2 inches and the original case measuring 3 1/4 X 4 1/3. The Japanese calligraphy (written on the case in sumi ink) gives the mother's age as 35 and the daughter’s age as 16. Both ladies have their hands tucked into Kimono Obi, the girl is holding an01 umbrella. With fine clarity and tonality, this ambrotype will make a wonderful addition to your collection.
